Set and use iCloud Photos on your Windows PC

iCloud Photos safely stores all of your photos and videos in iCloud, then they're available on all your devices.

iCloud Photos uploads new photos and videos from your Windows PC and then yous can view them in the Photos app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and on iCloud.com. New photos y'all've taken will appear on your PC automatically, and you tin download them with a double-click.

Turn on iCloud Photos

Brand certain you've set upwardly iCloud on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch or Mac, that you've turned on iCloud Photos and you're signed in with your Apple ID.

  1. Download iCloud for Windows.

  3. In another window, open the folder where the photos yous want to add together to iCloud Photos are currently stored.
  4. Select the photos you want to add.
  5. Drag them into the iCloud Photos binder.

You can view the photos and videos y'all've uploaded in the Photos app on iCloud.com and on all of your Apple devices.

In older versions of iCloud for Windows

  1. Open a File Explorer window.
  2. Nether Favourites, click iCloud Photos.
  3. Click Upload photos and videos.

Download your photos and videos from iCloud Photos

In iCloud for Windows 11.ane or later

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. In the Navigation pane, click iCloud Photos.
  3. Select the images you want to proceed on your PC.
  4. Right-click the choice and choose "Always keep on this device".

If yous alter a photo or video on another device or on iCloud.com, information technology will be updated on your PC automatically.

In older versions of iCloud for Windows

On Windows 10:

My Photo Stream isn't available in iCloud for Windows 10 or after.
